The School of Geography at Queen Mary, University of London is recognised as an international centre for excellence in teaching and research.

The School has been ranked in the top four internationally for the quality of its research (as measured by publications citations per faculty member) in the recent QS World University Rankings and joint first in the UK 2008 Research Assessment Exercise.

Our teaching is research-led, meaning that our students are taught by some of the leading human and physical geographers in the world today. Our geography and environmental science programmes were ranked in the top ten in the UK by the 2012 Times Good University Guide.
