The new Graduate Centre is amazing; it's so motivating to work looking over London. The masters room in Geography is also great – having a place just for postgraduate students is really helpful

Dedicated space for postgraduates
QMUL’s new Graduate Centre provides excellent teaching and learning spaces for all postgraduate students, including a 200-seat lecture theatre, study spaces, seminar rooms, an open-plan group study area, landscaped courtyard and a café. As well as providing a work-base for taught and research students, the seven-storey building also has ample space for socialising and interaction amongst students encouraging idea generation and collaboration; as well as work areas tailored specifically to the needs and working patterns of postgraduates. Take a look at the Graduate Centre here.
Postgraduate students in the School of Geography have desk and computing space in a dedicated masters study room; plus access to the common room and kitchen within the Geography Building.
Laboratories and libraries
Our masters students have access to specialist software and computing facilities for undertaking geospatial analysis, remote sensing and environmental modelling. We offer a wide range of field equipment and laboratory facilities, including the river laboratory, a micromorphology and micropalaeontology suite, and a luminescence dating laboratory, with technical staff on hand to help. Find out more and take a virtual tour of the geography labs.
In addition, students have access to the unparalleled range of facilities, learning resources and libraries within QMUL and across institutions in the University of London, such as the QMUL Library and the Senate House Library. You will also be well-placed to use the first-rate resources of other libraries with London collections, for example the British Library.
Many of our masters students go on to undertake PhD research. QMUL is home to a thriving Doctoral College which is an innovative and supportive research community of PhD students. This community enhances the postgraduate experience by cultivating a lively and innovative cross- and inter-disciplinary community of researchers.
