Plantago lanceolata (Ribwort)

Plantago lanceolata grows on most soils and is particularly favoured on basic and neutral soils but is uncommon on the most acidic soils (Phillips, 1977). It is constantly present in basic or neutral grassland and particularly abundant on chalk.
