Linton Award for Professor Angela Gurnell
4 January 2012
Professor Angela Gurnell has been awarded the Linton Award for 2012 by the British Society for Geomorphology for her contributions to the understanding of biological influences on fluvial geomorphology.
This will involve attending an Awards Ceremony at the 2012 Annual General Meeting of BSG (in Nottingham in June), delivering the Linton Lecture and publishing a 'State of the Science' article in Earth Surface Processes and Landforms designed to shape the direction of research over forthcoming years.
Angela's seminar at the end of last term demonstrated both the breadth of vision and the depth of research that is being recognised with this award.
