The Global Apparel Research Programme in the Department
of Geography, Queen Mary, University of London aims
to understand the dramatic reconfiguration of the global
garment and clothing industry and its impact on the
societies and communities involved.

The Geographical Consequences of the End of Quota Constrained
Trade in the Global Apparel Industry
This project examines the global consequences in the
apparel industry resulting from the liberalisation of
quota-constrained trade in 2005 and the emerging forms
of re-regulation, new geographies of production and
new actors.
